5) Degrees of optimism

Today's post is brought to you through the medium of hardcore statistical analysis. You may wish to take a seat.

The Random Number Generating Department were up all night to bring you this piece of analysis and, at Day 5, I can now conclude that we have completed this much of Janathon:

These data are a bit humbling, no? A humbling pie chart no less. Let's try to put some spin on this.

If this were an actual pie, you would have only eaten this much:

Look at how much pie remains to be enjoyed!

You would be very excited to come home from running to find that in your fridge, wouldn't you? Go on, admit it.

Day 5 - Very slow run home via Co-op to buy pie
Distance: 4.5 miles (final 0.8 miles carrying pie)
Time: 0:54:36
Pace: 12:07 min/mile
Cake rating: 3/5 (low point: tedious uphill run home from work; high point: eating 58° of pie for completing Janathon Day 5)

Cumulative Janathising: 21.7 miles

  1. pie pie pie PIE!!

could you do me a bar chart with CHIPS please Ma CaKe?

  2. Well when you put it like that!!! Good luck for your next small slice of pie xx

  3. Ha ha, excellent post! Think of it as cake, like it.

  4. Like the pie stats you are right February will be such a downer. On pies I had a lovely bramley apple pie at lunch time with lots of custard - I think Janthon is causing me to put on weight

  5. Fantastic way of putting it!

  6. Good Pie!! I was going to ask if it was homemade by Danny for you, but the criss-crossing looked a little too straight and symmetrical. And then I saw the Coop reference. Gotta love the coop.

Could you make running with pie a new Olympic event, d'ye think?

  7. Yes please! I will have more pie!! :-)

  8. hope you can have more than 1/31 tomorrow!
