4) Instructions

I was wondering if I could assemble the other chair today so I looked online for some instructions. Just imagine my astonishment when I found this. Ron moves in mysterious ways:

poang

So I asked myself "What would Rön do?" and I thought that he'd probably forget about the chair for a while and look at his marathon training programme to find out what to do instead. This is what the training programme said:

interval

Hmm seemed a bit long for intervals. Maybe Interväls were something different.

They are. They're horrible. Ow.

Day 4 - Interväls (running)
Distance: 5.5 miles [1 mile warm up; 2 x 1.5 mile "fast" (i.e. less slow) + 0.25 mile recoveries; 1 mile cool down]
Time: 0:58:55 [1.5 mile times: 1@ 15:01, 2@ 15:03]
Pace: Av 10:42min/mile
Cake rating: 3/5 (OMFG that hurt)

Cumulative Janathising: 17.2 miles

  2. The majority of the session seems to be fast intervals, almost like a race ! Seeing your blog always reminds me that there is a home made cake in the kitchen a lemon and coconut drizzle, ahh the temptation

  4. Love it!

All this talk of intervals, warms up and cool downs are most confusing. I just start running, try to keep a steady pace all the way and don't stop till the end.

  8. This looks like a horrid session. It reminds me of 3 x 2km or 2 x 20minuts from the bad old days.
Hope Danny has recovered from IKEA ;-P

  12. I just found myself quoting you and "what would Ron do"! Your haiku the other day must've left a lasting impression. Loving the Ikea/WWRD instructions. Great blog!
