Rain delays play

Today's (projected*) training summary:


*In the interests of honesty, I wish to be clear than none of these training sessions have actually happened. Not one.

Iron Icons

Last Thursday, I stood in my hotel room, soaked through with rain, cycle helmet still on, shoving crisps in my face, after a 95 mile bike ride. If anyone had suggested another 17 miles and several hours of running to follow, they might have found themselves "falling" off the balcony with a crisp packet fluttering gently down after them. It's times like these when you look to your heroes for some inspiration:

Training partners

If training for the race-that-dare-not-be-named sounds like a big undertaking, spare a thought for lovely boyfriend, who's dealing remarkably well with the steady increase in mileage, sweaty kit and general neglect. What do you do for your other half when the training's making it tricky to treat 'em?
